Description:
While try to change LAN & Wireless adapter settings it is giving the error that adapter properties or disabled.Here is the error message,
some of the controls on this property sheet are disabled because one or more other Network property sheets are already open.To use these controls,close all these property sheets and then reopen this one.
Solution:
Method 1:
– While try to change the adpter settings check the administrator privilages.Until you are not administrator you cannot change adaptor settings.
– Otherwise run the application like Run as Adminitrator.
Method 2:
Uninstall Network card:
– open command prompt with Administrator privilages.
Run ->cmd.exe ( Run as administrator)
– In command prompt type the following command,
set devmgr_show_nonpresent_devices=1
– Now in startbar enter run command enter the below command to open the device manger,
Start DEVMGMT.MSC
– Expand Network Adapters and uninstall the existing drivers.
Delete Registry Information:
– In run window enter regedit command to open registry entries window.
– Locate the below in windows,
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\RunOnce
– Now in right panel if there is any entries in RunOnce subkey remove it.
– Restart the system after reboot default drivers will load automatically in the sysyem.
– Later try to change the adapter settings.
Note:If wi-fi drivers are not default for backup download latest adpter drivers.Incase after reboot if you face any issue with loading drivers we can install download drivers.
